Thought Provoking Contemporary Art

Surround yourself with colours, textures and visuals you love to see. Art is all around us and it makes up a huge part of our lives. It is a tool for communication and a way to show our opinions. Through the art we display in our homes, offices and places of work, we reflect our personalities, ethos and beliefs.

My work comes from my heart and soul and I hope it resonates. Enjoy!

Lyndsey

Dive into the mindset of a neurodiverse artist who is full of questioning and exploration. Having had over 30 years of working creatively for others, it is now a most exciting time for this artist who has taken the leap to get out of the rat-race and explore a very personal and intuitive creativity that is bursting to to be released from it’s confines.

Join Lyndsey on a journey of discovery, using different mediums and surfaces to find out what makes someone tick and how their thoughts can be transformed into images that are all consuming, emotional and wonderfully encapsulating.

Which And Why

What is it that makes us strive for perfection? Is it the busy lifestyle us humans have created to survive. The need to be better than the other to stay in a job, to have money, to have a home, a successful career and marriage? Or is it the media, the cultures, life’s expectations of morals and traditions.

Here I have looked into some of these questions.

Collection 1 – Circles

Wabi-Sabi

In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete” in nature. It is prevalent in many forms of Japanese art

In this collection, I would like to explore the meaning behind wabi-sabi, how it appears in my life and the benefits it can have on our health.

“I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”
